I love diversity, and cultures fascinate me, so it was an interesting celebration to witness Michael, a “westerner ” united with Afsana an “easterner” in a laid-back fashion. Both expressed a desire to have a low key celebration with their families and friends. As a matter of fact, the celebration took place on two different days. The couple took part in a civil wedding ceremony at the Chicago Cultural Center, and the next day, a selected number of friends and family joined them for a special dinner at Hyde Park’s Promontory Point. The atmosphere was one of acceptance and openness. The blending of the cultures was admirable, and was demonstrated by the elegant sporting of the traditional and colorful sari by both families as well as the wearing of the henna by all ladies regardless of culture. Each family welcomed the other with open arms an important element in the development of a harmonious family.

Esenam was the photographer for our reception and we couldn’t have been more impressed with him. He captured everything we had wanted and more, was instrumental in organizing friends and family for all our group shots. Had a lot of great ideas for our individual and couples photos.
Esenam was very patient with all the family and friends who wanted to get their own photos and were a little crazy with the flashes on their cameras.
We hired Esenam after seeing his online portfolio. It was clear he had a great eye for detail and composition, and came up with some truly stunning shots. He has captured our moments perfectly and given us beautiful memories that we will cherish for years.
We wish Esenam all the best and continued success.
