Janna and Nathan celebrated their Pazzo’s 311 wedding in Chicago last october. Janna was the epitome of cool, calm, and collected as she got ready. We met the ladies at XEX salon, capturing the bride’s hair and make-up before relaxing at the Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront, documenting details and interactions as the bride ate lunch and laughed with her ladies. Even as she was laced into her dress, Janna was happy and reflective, but grew more and more excited to see her groom, so excited, in fact, that by the time the bridal party got to Lurie Gardens for the first look she was literally jumping up and down and sprinted to meet Nathan. We had a lot of time to relax and visit different locations with this truly fearless bride and groom during the afternoon before the ceremony. Although the skies threatened rain and everyone had to break out the umbrellas, the couple was optimistic and unfazed. We took shots that were unique to them – running through a crowd of tourists under the Cloudgate in Millennium Park and dancing barefoot in the water at Crown Fountain – as well as shots that captured the tender love between the couple as they interacted and took their vows under the sky-high palm trees at Pazzos. Trust falls, jumping up and down, twirling, and running barefoot through the streets of Chicago after sunset; this is definitely one wedding I will remember for a long time. Enjoy!
