Heritage Prairie Farm hosted Victoria and Charles’ awesome celebration which was all in the details: her sideswept updo capped with heirloom veil, his jaunty hat, a customized emblem hung on the side of the barn, dusty pink and deep rose-colored romantic bouquets crafted by Wallflower Designs. As the bride readied herself, I was able to capture candid emotional moments between sister, mother, and bride during getting ready time. The bridesmaids busily assisted with steaming the groom’s suit, as well as their own dresses. While they practiced lining up at the front of the ceremony site with the groomsmen, the bride and groom had a chance to, separately, open their special gifts to each other as they eagerly awaited seeing each other at the altar.
During the ceremony, the groom was escorted down the aisle by his father and his mother, and the bride was also escorted by her parents. The groom’s uncle officiated a heartfelt ceremony in the shade of the ancient oak tree. Afterwards, portrait time allowed the couple to spend some intimate moments together while guests mingled on the lawn enjoyed lemonade and other refreshments. The reception tent was set up with mini honey favors serving as place cards, a pie station, as well as hand-selected photographs. Dinner was served family-style at long tables, and the family togetherness and shared laughter helped to make this night a happy memory for all. Enjoy!
