It’s hard to pick a favorite moment from a day so full of life and meaning. Audree and Rami, both cool and calm, enjoyed the energy and good will of so many friends and family members. The day started out with Audree’s close family members and friends surrounding her as she prepared herself for the ceremony. Meanwhile, crowds of Rami’s friends and family danced, sang, ate, and danced some more. They surrounded him as he completed his Hamam (bathing of the groom) and dressed him. He spent a lot of time showing affection to family members, presenting them with corsages and receiving their blessings.
After the morning traditions, bride and groom were married at St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony, steeped in symbolism with the wearing of crowns, drinking of wine, and a dance. The reception at Bolingbrook Golf Club was exquisite in its presentation, and the guests enjoyed cocktail hour before kicking off the night with a boisterous bridal party entrance. By the time the bride and groom entered, guests were ready to rush the dance floor, hoist the happy couple onto shoulders, celebrating with dance and song. The air was thick with cash, and the youngest party guests made themselves the honorary clean-up crew. It was a memorable wedding. Enjoy!
