During many Chicago Engagement Photography I find that being in front of the camera can be a bit intimidating. Often times, it takes a little while for my subjects to warm up.. Often times, it takes a little while for my subjects to warm up. The first half hour of a session is really about breaking the ice and finding the connection and tempo.  But when a black lab like this one is involved, it really helps, and there was no waste of time before the good moments and nice shots started.

Kent & Aileen are both in love with each other and with their black lab, Sweet Dee, the very friendly dog, (who I enjoyed petting) we had a great time during their engagement photos in Chicago’s Mary Bartleme Park and few other Chicago locations such as the Buckingham Fountain and Lurie Garden. These images truly exude the connection this family has together. I am familiar with pet photography, and when the opportunity presents itself, I enjoy the presence of man’s best friend. I’m sure that Sweet Dee is smiling for the camera because she sees that I’m holding her squeaky ball hostage, a secret weapon.  The close bond between these three created some awesome imagery that they will cherish. Many thanks to you Kent & Aileen,  we can’t wait until the upcoming wedding!

Cheers!
